The word photography comes from two ancient Greek words: photos ("light") and graphein ("to draw") Therefore "Drawing with light" is one way of describing photography.

Webster's Definition: pho·tog·ra·phy (noun) - the art or process of producing images by the action of radiant energy and especially light on a sensitive surface (as film or a CCD chip).

Both are obviously great ways to define the word photography but to that we would like to add our much looser definition.

Photography - capturing one precious moment. One moment otherwise forgotten and lost ...faded and fuzzy with time.

These are the moments that define us as humans. We often do not even realize this in our everyday lives but just ask someone who has ever lost everything in a house fire what's the one thing they wish they could have saved. Many times the reply will be "our photos".
